We offer a range
of appointments, with the choice of
book on the day 10 minute
appointments or pre-bookable 15
minute appointments either early
morning or afternoons.
By offering a
range of time and type of
appointment we hope to meet all our
patients routine and emergency
needs.
The first hour of
each doctor's morning surgery is for
pre-bookable 15 minute appointments,
the first hour normally lasts from
approximately 9am to either 10am or
10.15am. Subsequent
appointments from approximately
10.30am or 10.45am are reserved for
on the day appointments. On
the day appointments are allocated
to patients who ring the surgery
from 8.30am onwards.
Afternoon
surgeries start from anywhere
between 2pm to 3.30pm and finish
between 4m and 5.45pm.
Appointments for these surgeries are
normally pre-bookable. We do,
however, retain 2-3 on the day
appointments for our afternoon
surgeries. These cannot be
booked until after 2pm on the day
and are primarily kept for emergency
appointments.
All our GPs work
on a part-time basis either 3 or 4
days a week and therefore it is not
always possible for us to offer
patients an appointment with the
doctor of their choice if they
require an emergency on the day
appointment.
Please note that
our reception team will always do
their best to help get you an
appointment for when and with whom
you want but will adhere to this
policy as a matter of course.
We operate a
strict non-attendance policy for any
patient who does not attend at the
given date and time. Three
instances of non-attendance may
result in the patient being asked to
leave the practice list and register
elsewhere. Also if you are
late for an appointment it may not
be possible for the GP or Nurse to
see you in the same surgery.
Emergency medical
advice on Wednesday afternoons up to
6.30pm is provided by our GPs on a
rota shared with Great Western
Surgery. Out of Hours Care is
provided by Swindon PCT and can be
contacted by ringing 01793 541111
when the surgery is closed.
A recorded message at the surgery
will give contact information.
